Unofficial?
It's interesting that we describe NSNA and CR '67 as unofficial movies because if we go by a dictionary definition of unofficial they actually
aren't:
'not acting with official authority'
...well, technically the producers of both movies did have official authority- Kevin McClory owned the rights to Thunderball and Charles Feldman owned
the rights to Casino Royale.
'not officially established'
...they're not officially established as movies within the EON series. But that doesn't mean they aren't official movies. I mean, I don't think
it's been stated anywhere that the EON series is the official one, except on fan websites such as this which have little bearing on matters of
officiality or unofficiality...which, given that I'm posting this thread, is ironic in a way...
What are your thoughts? Should we classify NSNA and CR '67 as something other than unofficial?

Maybe we should dub them "The Alternative Bonds".

I love the Star Wars Saga: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Dub them as the Bond films not made by the real Bond producers.

How about just "Non EON".
James Bond as a foreigner (as interpreted by Pierce Brosnan in TWINE):
"Я не знаю никаких шуток
доктора. Между прочим, я
выгляжу намного старше,
чем я фактически,
полагая, что я нахожусь в
моих шестидесятых и -

ученый."

Or maybe even 'non good'. Although we'd have to include a few of the EON movies if that were the case...
